Meet the Doctors

Luis F. Rosario, D.D.S.

Diplomate, American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Rosario was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He attended Marquette University for his undergraduate studies in Biology and received his doctorate degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his internship at Naval Dental Center in Great Lakes, Illinois and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Naval Medical Center, San Diego, California.

Dr. Rosario served in the United States Navy for 15 years achieving the rank of Commander. He served as Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon for the USS Carl Vinson Battle Group deployed in the Western Pacific and as Head of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Naval Health Care, New England in Newport, Rhode Island. He deployed aboard hospital ship USNS Comfort in support of humanitarian relief efforts in both Haiti and New Orleans.

Totally committed to his profession, Dr. Rosario practices full scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with emphasis in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants and associated bone grafting, oral pathology, orthognathic surgery and Maxillofacial trauma. He is the longest actively serving Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon volunteering as associate staff at the Ocala Regional Medical Center’s level II trauma service since its inception in full support of the local community and fellow dental and medical colleagues.

Dr. Rosario is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since 2004, Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Florida Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and twice past president of the Marion County dental Association.

Dr. Rosario is married to Carmen, originally from Chicago, IL and has four children: Sofia, Nicolas, Lucas and Marcos. They’re active parishioners at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church since 2007 and members of the Fort King Tennis Club. As a family they absolutely love Ocala’s small town feel and sense of familiarity and welcoming spirit of its friends and neighbors.

David R. Montgomery, D.D.S., M.D.

Diplomate, American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Montgomery was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska where he was captain of the collegiate soccer team and received undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He then completed a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Dr. Montgomery then completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Detroit Receiving Hospital. He also completed a Medical Degree from the Wayne State University – College of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Montgomery practices full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including office-based dental extractions and implants with sedation, as well as benign pathology, orthognathic surgery, and Maxillofacial trauma. He strives to always provide the best possible care for his patients while also helping them to be relaxed and comfortable for their planned procedure.

Dr. Montgomery met his wife Dr. Jennel Carreras-Montgomery during their residencies in Detroit. Jennel is from Miami, FL and she completed her Medical Degree at the University of Florida. They enjoy being active outdoors and spending time with family. They both feel it is a wonderful opportunity to become a part of the friendly Ocala community.

Meet the Staff

Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. Ocala Oral Surgery’s staff are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies, and are CPR, ACLS and DAANCE certified.
